Terms
ScreenOS terms of service
The agreement between your business and Elitaco Capital Sdn Bhd for using ScreenOS: plans and billing, refunds, acceptable use and the law that applies.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Elitaco Capital Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 202501037017 (1638427-K)), Malaysia (“we”, “us”), for the ScreenOS website, owner workspace, screen app and phone companion (together, “ScreenOS”).
ScreenOS is a service for businesses. By creating a workspace or using ScreenOS you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you can accept these terms for your business. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
The service
ScreenOS lets you create content and schedules and show them on screens you pair to your workspace. The Free plan includes one screen and needs no card. Paid plans add screens and features, as described on screenos.co when you choose them.
We keep improving ScreenOS and may change or retire features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.
Your account
Keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what your team members do. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Plans, billing and renewal
Paid plans are bought on the ScreenOS website, not inside the apps. The price, currency, billing term and any taxes are shown before you confirm.
- You can pay monthly, or prepay for one, three or five years.
- Where a free trial is offered, it lasts 14 days and needs a card. We send a notice seven days before the first charge, with a link to cancel.
- Plans renew automatically: monthly plans every month, and prepaid plans every year after the first term, until you cancel.
- You can cancel online at any time in the workspace. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a payment fails we will tell you and try again. If it is still unpaid after the grace period, paid features may stop until it is paid.
- We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your renewal.
Refunds
- If you cancel during a free trial, you are not charged.
- If you ask within seven days after the first automatic charge of a subscription, and your billing has not changed since then, we refund that charge in full. Billing has changed if, for example, a plan change is under way, a payment is in its grace period or an extra video space add-on is active. A refund ends the paid plan.
- Other payments, including later renewals and prepaid terms, are not refundable once the period has started, except where the law requires a refund or where we have failed to provide the service as described.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. Hardware bought from us follows the terms of that purchase.
The Owner can ask in app.screenos.co: open the billing page and choose Request refund under First-charge refund. You can also email [email protected] from your account's email address.
Your content
Your content stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and show it as needed to run ScreenOS for you. You are responsible for your content, including holding the rights to it and making sure prices, offers and claims on your screens are accurate and lawful.
Acceptable use
You must not use ScreenOS to:
- show or share anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights, including copyright and trade marks;
- show content that is sexually explicit, hateful, harassing or violent, or that promotes illegal activity;
- mislead customers about prices, offers or products;
- collect other people's personal data without a lawful basis;
- upload malware, probe or break our security, or interfere with the service or other customers;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer ScreenOS, or access it by automated means we have not allowed.
We may remove content, or suspend a screen or workspace, that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable we will tell you first and give you the chance to fix it.
Devices and other services
You provide the screens, devices and internet connection. A screen keeps playing what it has downloaded during short interruptions, but ScreenOS cannot play content that never reached the device.
ScreenOS also relies on other services, such as payments by Stripe and the Apple App Store and Google Play. Their own terms apply to your use of them. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for ScreenOS or its support.
Availability
We work to keep ScreenOS available and secure, but it may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control. To the extent the law allows, ScreenOS is provided “as is”, without promises that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
ScreenOS is supplied for business purposes. To the extent the law allows, the Consumer Protection Act 1999 does not apply to it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, business or data. Our total liability arising from ScreenOS in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us for ScreenOS in those 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
You are responsible for claims that arise from your content or from your breach of these terms.
Suspension and closing
You can stop using ScreenOS at any time and delete your workspace, as described on our Delete your account page. We may suspend or close a workspace for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where the law requires it. What happens to your data then is explained in our Privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change is significant we will tell workspace Owners at least 30 days before it applies. If you continue to use ScreenOS after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute. Please contact us first; most problems can be solved quickly.
