Your data
Delete your ScreenOS account
How to delete your ScreenOS workspace and account, what is removed and when, and what we have to keep.
Before you start
Removing the ScreenOS app from an iPad, an Android device or your phone does not delete your workspace or your account. It only removes the copy stored on that device.
A workspace is deleted by its Owner, from the workspace itself. Anyone else can ask us to delete their personal data by email, as described below.
Keep a copy of your data
If you want to keep a copy, sign in to app.screenos.co, open Privacy, and choose Request account export. A download link appears when the export is ready. Export is available on every plan.
Delete a workspace
- Sign in to app.screenos.co as the workspace Owner.
- Open Privacy.
- Under Delete this workspace, confirm your sign-in when asked.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation box and choose Schedule workspace deletion.
Access to the workspace stops immediately for every member, every paired screen and support. Automatic renewal of any paid plan is turned off. Deleting a workspace does not create a refund by itself; see the refund section of our Terms of service.
The 30-day recovery period
You can change your mind for 30 days. Sign in as the Owner and choose Recover workspace on the Privacy page. Renewal stays off until you turn it back on.
After 30 days the deletion is final. We then:
- delete the photos and videos you uploaded, the pictures of what your screens showed, and support attachments;
- erase support messages and replies;
- unlink any WhatsApp support number and any EES connection;
- close every member's access and sign-in sessions for the workspace, and remove its name.
What we keep, and for how long
Some records are kept after deletion because the law requires it or to protect the service:
- invoices, payments and refunds, for at least seven years, as Malaysian tax law requires;
- security and audit records of sign-ins and staff access, for as long as they are needed to protect the service;
- database backups, which expire on their own within 12 months.
These records of a deleted workspace are not erased automatically: its designs, schedules and published templates, its screen and playback history, its team invitations, and its members' sign-in accounts. The workspace is closed, so its members can no longer open them and no screen shows them. To have them erased, email [email protected].
Delete your personal account by email
To delete your own sign-in account, or if you are a team member and not the Owner, or if you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with. Tell us the workspace name if you know it.
We may ask you to confirm that the request is yours. We reply within 21 days. A team member can also ask the workspace Owner to remove them from the team.
Screens and devices
Removing the ScreenOS app from a device deletes the content and settings stored on that device. The screen's record stays in your workspace after the app is removed. To have a screen's records erased, email [email protected].
